Warning! To avoid loss of data, it is STRONGLY recommended to make a backup copy of your database before doing anything else.

  1. Backing up the database from the old version
Make a manual copy (copy/paste) of the file “C:\ProgramData\VehicleFleetManager\GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB” in a safe place. If you are unsure of the location of your database on your computer, you can find it by going to “Configuration – Connection to database”
  2. Install the new version and import data
    A. Click here to download and install the new version. The old version of Vehicle Fleet Manager will not be overwritten. The new version (Vehicle Fleet Manager 4.0) will be added to the list of programs on your computer.

To do this, go to the folder “C:\ProgramData\VehicleFleetManager” (for older installation, this folder may be “C:\Program Files\Vehicle Fleet Manager 3.0 Data”) and copy (Ctrl + C on the file GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB or, right click – Copy) GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB.

    C. Now, go to folder “C:\ProgramData\VinitySoft Data” and paste (Ctrl + V or right click – Paste) the file in this location. Rename it to VSOFT.FDB instead of GESTIONFLOTTE.FDB. The demonstration database will be replaced with data from the old version of Vehicle Fleet Manager 3.0.
